Missing DNS Setting in Plesk 9

In: Plesk

11 Mar 2009

Its supposed to be a simple thing. In Plesk 8, I was able to see the icon for DNS zone management. So I played around with the permissions, making sure I granted permission for the client to access DNS zone, etc but still no go… I just could not locate the DNS icon in the new Plesk 9 interface! (Which by the way is proactively updated by my favorite host ServInt)

I know everyone’s got their own opinion of Plesk, its a bit slow and cumbersome, but it does come with many features and is much more of a ‘complete’ server management system than others I’ve used. But again, that’s just my personal opinion.

plesk9-hidden-dns-iconSo, back to the missing DNS. After about 10 mins of frustration, I found the solution in Google (I know, I know)… As it turns out, its hidden within a drop-down menu in the ‘Websites’ section as per the image here. [Click to enlarge]

Hope this helps!

I was trying to update our SPF records and I can’t find the dns settings for the domain. Thanks! Exactly what I was looking for.

Your page showed on the first page of google results, as i directly went there after losing the DNS Zone management upon upgrading to v.9. Thank you,
