Tips, Tutorials and Guides for your Virtual Private Server
In: Plesk
11 Mar 2009Its supposed to be a simple thing. In Plesk 8, I was able to see the icon for DNS zone management. So I played around with the permissions, making sure I granted permission for the client to access DNS zone, etc but still no go… I just could not locate the DNS icon in the new Plesk 9 interface! (Which by the way is proactively updated by my favorite host ServInt)
I know everyone’s got their own opinion of Plesk, its a bit slow and cumbersome, but it does come with many features and is much more of a ‘complete’ server management system than others I’ve used. But again, that’s just my personal opinion.
So, back to the missing DNS. After about 10 mins of frustration, I found the solution in Google (I know, I know)… As it turns out, its hidden within a drop-down menu in the ‘Websites’ section as per the image here. [Click to enlarge]
Hope this helps!
I've been using Virtual Private Servers for the past 11 years. I'd like to share these experiences here, so I'll be writing Tips, Tutorials, Guides and other helpful hints...
